Scope of work:
Christian Family Church Alberton Artificial Turf Play Area project included site establishment and setup, removal of the site establishment upon completion, provision of contractor facilities such as safety netting and PPE for casual labour, supervision for the full duration of construction, and preparation of the Health & Safety file. The works further included clearing and preparing the area, removal and disposal of debris offsite, levelling and shaping the in-situ layer to ensure proper drainage flow toward grid inlets, and compaction of the in-situ material. Additional works included the importation and spreading of a 60mm crusher dust layer, stabilisation of the imported layer through the mixing of cement, final levelling and compaction of the crusher dust layer, as well as the supply and installation of in-situ cast concrete edging to secure and adhere the artificial turf around the perimeter.
Construction Information:
The Christian Family Church Alberton Artificial Turf Play Area project involved the construction and preparation of a 1 011m² artificial turf play area. The works included site preparation, earthworks, levelling and compaction of the surface, installation of a stabilised crusher dust base layer, drainage shaping, and the installation of concrete edging to secure the artificial turf system, creating a safe and durable recreational play environment.
